Familiar landscapes mediated by culture have become a starting point for much of my studio practice. In particular, how we inhabit our world and manufacture that world to fit corporatized molds. Because of this, I find that my work reflects my environment; while in my home country, Scotland, I was inspired by the industrial landscape that lived within the picturesque, the contrast of nature and culture inspired me in those days, and still inspires me in Orlando, Florida, where I now live and work.
